It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the money…I’ll provide. Trust Me.”

According to Sara Fleming, this was the voice that she heard running through her head loud and clear when a single dad was in desperate need of help to pay for his groceries.

The true spirit of the holidays

It has become our habit to spend a little extra preparing for the Yuletide season. We prepare those holiday decorations in and out of our homes. We buy presents for our families, especially our kids. And we also prepare sumptuous meals on our tables for Thanksgiving.

Sadly, not all families are fortunate enough to afford all these.

A beautiful story about giving.

Sarah recently shared a story about ‘synchronicity’ and how God perfectly plans for two random people to mysteriously meet again where all things started.

The start of the miracle began when Sara was at the grocery store to grab some food.
She wrote on a Facebook post:

“Sweet friends, this is a true story. I’m sharing for others to hear of God’s goodness and mercy. It’s not about me. Great things HE hath done!”

Talk about being at the right place at the right time, and for the right person – that’s what happened.

At 10:00 P.M. that evening, a man’s groceries hit $94.10 at the counter’s register.
He was already buying the bare minimum. He thought that he could afford to pay it but, sadly, it was still too much for his budget.

“I watched as the man in front of me asked the cashier to put things to the side. Over and over again. He kept swiping his card. Declined.”

Let’s admit it, most of us have gone through the same situation as him. Getting our cards declined from one occasion to another, but getting through it eventually. Unfortunately, that was not the case for this man- for he had nothing left to offer

“There was a girl and boy with him, and I heard them call him ‘Dad’ several times. The girl was a pre-teen, and the boy was about my son’s age. I could see the embarrassment written all over their faces.”

The situation was already bad, but to know that he’s a father to those kids, made it so much more heartbreaking.

Not to mention that all of these were happening right after Thanksgiving. Sara even wondered if their family had something to feast on for the occasion.

The cashier was setting aside what the dad couldn’t pay for when suddenly, something unexplainable happened.

“Then suddenly, I felt it. It was like a gentle shove on the back and a mild electric shock to my heart.”

“Pay for these groceries,” it said. “It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the money…I’ll provide. Trust Me.
